Netball- Bounce Pass

Skill learnt- We learnt how to do a bounce pass by dummying where we were going to throw it and then bouncing it under our opponent to our team mates.

Technique- To ensure we did not lose possession when attempting this pass we were told to pretend we were going to do chest pass and then, when the opposition players were least expecting it, we bounced it under them. It needed the right power and angle on it to ensure it reaches a team mate. It also needed to be just out of reach of the opponent to prevent them intercepting the pass.

Tactic- In a tightly packed goalmouth, it is a very handy pass to be able to use because it gives you another option. When you or your team mates are being tightly marked, you will not be able to make a chest pass without losing possession so you can bounce it under the opposition to keep play going.

It was a challenging pass because you had to make sure you were getting the angle right, as well as the power and also the fact that you were trying not to give the other team the idea of what you were going to try and attempt.
